PWR-AC-FAILAC Power Failure Sensor
know the moment utility power fails
for edge infrastructure

Detects the outage the moment it happens — before the UPS runs out.
Senses the mains upstream of your UPS via the included adapter.
ON/OFF status with immediate alerts via email, SNMP traps & optional SMS.
Trigger safe server shutdowns on a detected outage.
Autoswitching 90-240 VAC adapter — EU, UK or US plug styles.
Steel industrial enclosure — 0U rack, DIN rail, magnetic or wall mount.
BMS ready via Modbus TCP, BACnet IP & Modbus RTU.
SNMP for NMS/DCIM & MQTT for IIoT.

AC power failure sensor

How it works — the essentials:
Sense point: the mains, upstream of the UPS
Requirement: base unit & sensor on UPS power
Output: ON/OFF status on the base unit

How It Works

The included adapter watches the mains upstream of the UPS; the UPS-backed sensor and base unit stay alive to tell you the power died.

Why the UPS Alone Isn't Enough

Most popular UPS systems have no management or alerting. Without a sensor, the first notice of an outage is the equipment going dark.

Safe Server Shutdown

Free Perl and PowerShell scripts read the sensor and gracefully shut down Linux and Windows servers before the UPS runs dry.

Monitoring DC Power?

For -48V telecom plants, battery banks and 12-80 VDC systems, the DC voltage & failure sensor measures the bus and alarms on failure.

Built for Edge & Unmanned Sites

Server rooms, cell sites and remote telecom rooms — where nobody is present to notice the outage and the UPS clock is already running.

Alerting & Integration

ON/OFF status with immediate alerts via email, SNMP traps & optional SMS — straight into your BMS over Modbus TCP, BACnet IP or Modbus RTU.

RS-485 Model

For OEMs and large accounts: an RS-485 Modbus RTU version integrates directly with your own gateway or controllers.
