Positioning Tips

• Face the sensor into the room, mounted where the room lighting and a visitor's torch would reach it.
• Keep it away from windows, skylights and door gaps — if daylight can reach the sensor, set the threshold above the daylight baseline instead of just above zero.
• Steel industrial enclosure, mounted 0U in the rack, on DIN rail or on the wall.

• Standalone alerting: the base unit fires email, SNMP traps and optional SMS the moment the lux threshold is crossed — no PC or software required.
• BMS integration: readings published over Modbus TCP, BACnet IP and Modbus RTU — availability depends on the base unit model.
