key sensor features
Plug & play sensor designed for monitoring temperature & humidity inside racks and hot/cold aisles in data center white spaces.

- measures temperatures -55°C to +125°C (-67ºF to +257ºF)
- a resolution of 0.02°C
- with a ±0.5% accuracy from 10°C-50°.
- measures relative humidity between 10% and 90%.
- with a ±2% accuracy.
- entire string is powered via base unit.
- recommended up to 16 sensors on one string - subject to min power requirements.
- optional DAISY-BOOSTER to increase voltage again to 14v when along the string voltage drops below required min 9v.

Optional features:
- accuracy of ±0.2% accuracy from 10°C-50° and with a ±1.6% rH
- ISO 17025 calibration certificates for temp and NIST for humidity
- RS-485 (Modbust RTU) output

- compact plug & play sensor.
- designed for indoor use.
- steel enclosure for non-power sensors or non-IP sensors. custom color & logo options available.
- industrial grade.
- 0u rack, DIN rail, magnetic or wall mountable sensor.
- plugs into the base unit.
- powered by the base unit (PoE, 12v DC, optionally 24v or -48v)
- alerts via SNMP Traps, email or SMS.
- out of the box integration via Modbus TCP, SNMP.
- optional integration via MQTT for Industrial IoT applications1New feature.
- optional integration via RS-485 enabling direct integration with your own gateway & controllers.2New feature

1Requires FW 10 or higher
2Some sensors are not available in RS-485 native versions. In that case RS-485 is available using the optional Modbus RTU module.

Designed for monitoring hot & cold aisles
With this unique daisy chained sensors, data center operators can now start monitoring their racks at a lower cost of ownership compared to most wired and wireless solutions.

Using just one base unit and one IP address, up to 20 temperature & humidity sensors can be deployed inside your racks. Following ASHRAE standards, this means that with one single base unit you can monitor humidity for up to 20 racks.

No wireless & no battery problems
Wireless technologies like Zigbee suffer from unstable connections due to interference from Wifi and LED lights. Connectivity issues also drain batteries resulting in down time and an increased total cost of ownership.

With the daisy chained sensor you won't face radio or batteries issues: the sensor is connected using a wired cable connection and is powered by the base unit.

The DAISY-STARTER sensor connects to the the base unit. Recommended to have up to 16 DAISY-THUM sensors on one string. String is connected to the DAISY-STARTER using simple RJ45 CAT5/6/7 cables. The minimum power supply to each sensor is 9V. Over distance voltage will drop from the initial 14V. Where voltage is too low, a DAISY-BOOSTER can increase the voltage again.

With the BASE-IND-6 this can be increaased up to 80 sensors on one string. This makes the device an ethernet based temperature sensor to monitor temperature and humidity inside racks or inside the hot & cold aisles of a data center. Integrates with BMS platforms using the Modbus TCP protocol. Or with NMS systems through SNMP GET and SNMP TRAPS.
