Server room & IDF monitoring
Configuration - BOM
The infographic shows a typical installation of ServersCheck's sensors in a server room, comms room or IDF/MDF closet with one or two racks.
One base unit is all it takes. It connects to the network over a standard network cable, is standalone with no PC or software required, and sends its alerts by email, SMS and SNMP, or to a BMS over Modbus TCP and BACnet IP. The sensors plug into the base unit; mount, plug, name the sensor, done. The same configuration is repeated in every closet of a campus or branch network, with every base unit reporting to the monitoring you already run.
The following configuration (Bill of Materials) covers a single room with one or two racks:

The following configuration (Bill of Materials) covers a single room with one or two racks:
- 1x Base Unit (BASE-5)
- 1x Temperature & humidity sensor (ENV-THUM)
- 1x Power failure sensor (PWR-AC-FAIL)
- 1x Water leak sensor with 5-meter cable (ENV-WLEAK-COMBO-5M)
- 1x PoE injector (ADDON-POE), only where no PoE switch port is available
- 1x Smoke sensor (SEC-SMOKE)
- 1x Door contact sensor (SEC-DOOR)
- 1x EXP-8HUB when more than two sensors connect to the base unit
